So if you, like many others, are in the market for an entry-level GeForce card (or potentially a PC from a large OEM like Dell or HP), train your eyes on the specs. The type of consumer shopping for an entry-level graphics card isn't paying attention to hard specs. In May 2017 Nvidia released the original GT 1030 and it was regarded as a very affordable dedicated graphics card, ideal for first-time PC builders or buyers on a budget. Except that now the data has become irrelevant and outright wrong for the average consumer shopping on name alone. The data is there to make an informed decision. Better yet is that I happen to have two of these elusive COLORFUL iGame GTX 1080 Vulcan X OC graphics cards, so I will be following this review of the card with some SLI results. When you can look at a box and see the same name and spend the same amount of money but walk away with one GPU that delivers only half the performance of the other, that's an entirely different class of product.
